The Manchester City Council and Argent City Council have introduced the Hive in the heart of Manchester. This joint venture is one of the largest in the history of the region.

The new structure boasts of 80,000 sq. ft of desk space that would be the new business hub in the region. The council also hopes to promote arts and music in this area to keep in tune with the spirit of the city.

The Hive is built on Stevenson Square. The contemporary style office spaces will attract businesses from all industries. The councils hope to improve the standards of further developments in the region.

HKR Architect Manchester designed this structure and built offices with modern amenities with the aim of creating a relaxed business space. This creative construction also has a roof top garden, natural ventilation and efficient service systems. These are the reasons why they received the BREEAM award of excellence. The building has also used the best green technology in the entire site.

The energy performance of the building got it a B rating. This is excellent keeping in mind that only one building in the UK has received an A.

Bardsley Constructions was in charge of putting up this architectural masterpiece. 40% of the building is already occupied by the Arts Council of England and the creative office space has been occupied by an events management firm - The Studio.
